  • Testra F159 ZTE 3G Phone set up ?

The only experience I have had was crap with ZTE252, could not get anyone to return my calls and after a long drawn out argument with Telstra they eventually took the phone back.

I have since brought a Nokia 6120 http://www.nokia.com.au/link?cid=PLAIN_TEXT_361482 and could not be happier with it.

It has better coverage than the ZTE which would not work in my house or any where else because the battery went flat in half a day with out any calls being made.

That my experience with ZTE252 maybe the 159 is different

ZTE customer service, NIL  still wait for the return call.

Go the nokia route, All the ZTE phones are CRAP. Always were and still are. Cheap chinese built phones, all the ones ive had anything to do with have been thrown as far as they could be thrown  You will be very happy with the Nokia 6120 classic.

What sort of car kit is it ? I like the idea of the cradle ect. Does it have an external aerial for boost ?

            Cheers,
Matt, it is a "force" Cradle as i have the same set up, you also have to buy a nokia bluetooth, the charging and aerial runs from the cradle, the comms part of the phone runs through the nokia bluetooth. The aerial is a conductive loop type not a plug.
The telstra ZTE phones have a bad reputation for reliabilty.
The nokia 6120/ force setup works well.

I reckon its all about feeling cofortable in the car. You know how a new noise in the car is really annoying, mostly because you don't know what it is. By putting the coin their, it rattles about like the billio & whenever you hear the noise you can go "Ah thats alright, I know what that noise is".

Work recently upgraded me to a ZTE 152 (like 3 weeks ago!). Have had no issues to date but have yet to try it out in the county areas.

Can comment that the phone works a treat through the Bluetooth system in the stereo.
