I need a bit of help here please
I was in the cleaning mood today and the inside of the Speedo housing has been bugging me as it had some dust inside it. So I decided to remove the clear plastic cover which exposes the needles of all the gauges (being careful not to touch them.)
This is when my problems began, after looking at the speedo the needles on the rev counter and speedo seemed to have moved down.
I very carefully moved them back up with a small screw driver and all seemed OK, I started the car and the rev counter was Ok, put every thing back together again and all seem OK
BUT after a while the Speedo dropped down to approx 6oclock, I fixed it again, went for a drive, All Ok, stopped the car, restarted, drove all OK. But after leaving the car for ½ hr, 1 – 3hrs and if you don’t open the car door or turn the key all is OK, but as soon as you open the door or turn the key the speedo drops to the 6 oclock mark.
As if there is something to do with the voltage. (New car Battery)
What have I done ?? is this going to be an expensive fix, of a re boot ??
Help Please
