OK, so this week sees a few things in the wind for me.
We are camping on the Gold Coast. OK, so Glamping more the word..
We hired a Jayco Expanda and one thing I noticed is the standard trailer plug on the Jayco is different to the Prado.
The Prado has the OEM 7 pin plug, the Jayco has a larger 12pin unit.
My question is, is it possible to install one of the 12 pin units on the back of the Prado?
This will give me a few other things I've been looking for, namely the magic pin to allow running fridge in camper whilst driving.
We plan on purchasing a camper soon, so want this sorted soon.
The other thing it has shown me is, I should have listened to all here who suggested when installing the Tekonsha P3, that I run the brake wire to the rear, as opposed to the brake switch on the pedal. If not for the override brakes on the Expanda, could have been a LOOONG trip up. They are not perfect, but still help out alot...
