  • Trouble shooting driving lights - Purchased 120 second hand

Hi all, Firstly Merry Christmas to all would be nice to meet up with some members someday.
I purchased a used 120 series petrol some months ago and noticed that the driving lights dont work. I figured that the car has been resprayed and perhaps not put back together correctly. I have checked the wiring to the lights and they are connected, the bulbs them selves look like they are OK, not blown. I have checked the relay is in position under the bonnet.

Does anyone have any ideas where i can start looking to see why the lights dont switch on when i flick the switch.

Is there any fuses, relays in the car and hidden secrets one may know about, all ideas greatly appreciated.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Most install via a separate switch, ie high beams need to be on and isolation switch on.

    Cheers

If you add your location in your settings and we know where you are it will increase your chances of meeting some locals.

      Cheers Andrew

Start at the lights and follow them back until you find a connector. What you can do at this point is wire them directly to the battery ensuring you know which wire is positive or secondly continue on until you find a little box about 3cm w,L,h being a relay ( http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/sho...fog-lights-etc! ). Over time being in the engine bay, water etc it could be U/S. After that point it helps to have a test light or multimeter to see if the switch is working and providing power to the relay.

Hope this helps, and yes what Andrew said.

P.S the link I use was the first one I found on google images...
