Rhino do make the Toyota bars however they are heavy duty aero not heavy duty and you only get 2. All the Rhino accessories fit either bar.

I am pretty sure Toyota can supply the Heavy duty bar as a set of 2 or 3 on delivery as well. I discovered this after getting the sports aero bars myself and was a little annoyed. However all rhino rack stuff does fit, I have toyed around with a few bits and pieces.

i have the toyota hd bars (set of 3) with a rihno rak cage on top, and im 99% sure the shovel holders will fit. cheers samo

I asked the same question today at a local dealer and was told that they only have the sports bars and I would have to organise my own if I want heavy duty ones. I wasn't too impressed with the attitude considering I'm after a new car.

Yup you need to have a GX or Standard prado to get the heavy duty bars....

So all the townie spec GXL VX's and Grande's miss out...

I can categorically confirm that the Toyota HD bars (Toyota Part Number T/PZQ3060100- 3 bar set) are the same as Rhino's Heavy Duty bars (Part Numbers RLCP03 (legs) and RB1250S (bars) as I have just bought Genuine Toyota heavy duty roof bars from Toyota today $340.00 for my 06 GX (No Rails).

They are identical (apart from the sticker) to the Rhino ones. (My Toyota ones were black - Don't know if they come in silver). Bar length is 1250mm the same as Rhino recommend for the Prado. Rhino RRP (for the legs and the bars) is $480 and try as I might, I couldn't really do much better than that. Easiest $140 I've ever saved.

I put the saving towards the Rhino alloy tray (Part No AT 1810 - 1800mmX1010mm and Rhino high lift jack brackets for $55. After spending a couple of hours building and installing both the racks and the tray, I'm pretty happy with the quality and result. For anyone out there considering Rhino HD bars, forget Rhino and go Toyota OE. (Unless you want the Rhino oval aero type which are not available from Toyota for the Prado.). I believe the Rhino and Toyota Sportz bars are also the same but dont take my word for it as I did not research them thoroughly.

Anyway, that's my first contribution to the forum. Hope I can save someone a few bucks and return the favour to all those that have contributed and helped me out on this forum in the past.

By the way, only managed to get $25 bucks of the alloy tray (paid $611) and paid retail for the fitting kit ($77) (Part Number HK35).

Priced the PZQ3060100- 3 bar set today for my rooftop tent at the local Tojo shop $313.00, versus $570.00 for the Rhino Rack items from a local 4X4 store.

Bloody amazing, the printout from the dealer even had Rhino Rack on it.

Pradopoint saving me money

Ordering tomorrow.

i'm just about to pick up my GXL and the rails are the only issue i have with it.

I need to get 2 kayaks on the roof, i'll fit my Rhino HD bars to the rail but they don't come far enough forward to support the kayaks when i load them as top lockers.
I have to look at a way to replace the rail, move it forward, or add a separate 3rd bar.
Any thoughts on this one guys ?
So i should probably start a separate thread but i'm b#ggered if i know what to call it

Go visit the Guys at roof racks galore at Kedron, they know all about roof racks, i have a 1.5mt rhino rack on HD bars, attached to the factory bars.
