Hi there
I'm new here, just recently purchased a 2000 model GXL V6. Great car, very happy with it.
I was hoping to find some discussions on the ins and outs of an LPG conversion for this model. I notice that there are something like 140 threads listed under this heading, but I can only manage to see 11- not sure if I'm navigating incorrectly or not. Please excuse my ignorance if I'm starting a new thread where one already exists- and in that case I would appreciate a re-direction to the existing thread.
If not, I am seeking model-specific information, not general stuff about LPG. I want to know if the heads cope well with burning LPG, and if there are any issues such as increased maintenance costs, likely mechanical problems resulting from a conversion and such.
I am getting 12.6 l/100 average on my driving style. Pretty good considering what I've read about these cars. That's using 95 RON ULP.
The car has done 230 000 km. It's been well maintained as far as I can tell.
Thanks in advance.
