After a particularly muddy weekend and spending a lot of time under the back guards getting mud and gunk from the space behind the rear wheels I thought there has got to be a better way to do this. Prevention is better than cure so I got hold of some thin 1mm aluminium sheet, shaped it up to cover the space and tucked it up neatly behind the rear mud flap. So now all that mud and gunk hits the splash guard and fall down onto the track where it belongs. i have less cleaning to do - bonus. Below are some pics from the side and back you hardly notice anything and these are easy to remove at any time - just unscrew. You would never know the holes were in the plastic bumper unless you really got underneath and had a look.
