  • MAF and TPS reset, high idle

Hi all, I have a 2000 model 90 series V6 that idles around 1200 rpm. I've replaced the plugs, leads, coils, air cleaner, fuel filter, MAF (which made a huge difference in performance) and TPS but the idle hasn't changed. I've been told that there is a way to reset the MAF and TPS settings without using a scan tool. Does anyone know of this and how to do it?

    Cheers, Biff

    Biff,

I would check for an air leak from the IAC valve and make sure the throttle body is secure.
If you disconnect the battery for a short period then reconnect the ECU will reset to base programming.

IAC under the throttle body. Mine was once disconnected and the result was inconsistent idle.
