  • sun shade for ipad mini attached to windscreen for using google earth maps

Has anyone invented or purchased a sunshade that will attach to an ipad mini when the ipad mini is attached to the front windscreen?

I have a Hema 7 but in my opinion this is no substitute for using google earth on tracks (obviously you may need a sim card as well which I have in my ipad mini).

The Hema 7 came with a sun shroud to improve visibility in the sun but the ipad mini does not.

I prefer to use google earth as it gives me a much better view of the tracks and exactly where my vehicle is located.

Note I only use this once off the main roads.

Some of my mates have constructed tacky shrouds using cardboard which works fine but something a bit tastier would be preferred.

    Any advice would be welcomed.

    Cheers.

    David

BerleyPro make sun visors for fish finders/chart plotters for the fishing segment. I would think they may have something that you could adapt to work for Ipads.

It's a Melbourne based operation who might even be able to create a product specifically for Ipads if there is enough demand.

When no internet I use my Hema 7.

When no Hema 7 I use the old "look at the sun" method!
