Hi all,
I fitted an ARB Sahara bar earlier in the year and now we've decided to go to Fraser Island in early October.
As we will be taking our Challenge camper it's highly likely that I might get bogged at some stage, whether at Inskip Point or some of the beach exits and bypass tracks heading up to the Eastern camping zones.
So has anyone fitted recovery points after fitting a bar or are there ones that don't require removal of the bar?
On my last 150 GX I did fit some but on the passenger side I dropped the captive nut when I undid the bolt and I ended up putting a long bolt through the chassis, however on the drivers side I had a long bolt that I screwed into the captive nut from inside the rail as I undid the outside bolt and that held it whilst I fitted the recovery point and refitted the bolt on the outside.
I haven't had a look yet to see if I can maybe do it that way again, just looking to see if anyone has some suggestions.
cheers,
Pete.
