I just bought a 2006 Prado.
I checked the pollen filter and there was only a filter in the hole. No cover. And the filter was dirty.
I decided to buy the cover and a new pollen filter.
After I installed it all I turned on the blower but there is no air coming out of the vents.
When I tried to remove the cover and the pollen filter with the air conditioning running it was impossible. A vacuum had formed.
After I switched of the blower I was able to remover the pollenfilter.
After some trail and error I found out that the air enters the system through the hole of the pollen filter on my car and that is the reason there was no cover.
There should be an air intake in this system for the outside air and one for the recirculation out of the cabin.
Am I missing a control. How and where is the air intake for the cabin air located??
