LOL, I didn't think of it that way... I just meant, well you know what I meant.

I probably won't go too far with mods, juist the essentials - but that's what they all say, right?

Re: Glen's 95 series Prado getting broken in

                G'day brado,

Yep, it's the 50th Anniversery model and quite shiney. I thought the 50th's only came in the light silver theme (body + bumpers) so I reckon you should have a closer look at your vehicle. Does yours have velour trims on the doors and rear air conditioning vents on the ceiling?

I'm definitely happy with the suspension so far. When empty it's great, no complaints at all. With a full load of camping and heavy recovery gear it sags a bit, but there's still enough wheel/arch spacing, and it still handled great. Bare in mind I have larger mud tires, which make a huge difference to the ride quality (sloppy on tarmac corners).

My only concern with the springs is hearsay - someone else's report of the springs going too soft, too quick, so he recommended the firmer OME springs. I went with ARB's advice, and have had no such problems yet (only ~6 months of ownership).

No problems with CV's. 40-45mm isn't a big lift so I don't think you'd have problems unless you're pushing those CV angles every weekend with rough treatment.

*To keep the chat down in build up threads, please reply via PM or in the 90 series sections.*

                            No where near !!
I still need a custom rear bar+tow bar with high clearance, rock sliders, 3.5" lift with arms/coilovers, 33~34" tyres, 4.88 ratios and a rear locker.
Possibly some tougher bash plates as well. I just finished straightening the sub-tank bash plate and touching up a decent dent in the sub-tank... ouch, maybe those side steps should go back on...

                              Hi Glen,

How hard was it to get the dash surround off to fit that UHF? I paid ARB quite abit of cash to mount my UHF and they left the main unit loose under the drivers seat. They may have poked the screws through the carpet but it's certainly not bolted down. I was going to try some velcro to secure it a bit better but hiding it behind the dash would be even better. I don't think my factory audio system uses that grille but will check that out before getting the tools out.

                              Cheers,
                              Fido666
