              Hi all,

              Model: Grande

              Year: 2005

Colour: Black with very black windows, already referred to as the Pimp-Mobile at work!!!

Accessories (Grande comes pretty loaded as standard for on-road goodies):
              Reversing Camera
              Carpet Mats
              Cargo liner
              Sovereign Bull Bar
              Tow Bar
              Colour coded wheel cover
Outragously expensive personalised plate (xmas pressy from the wife, but she still didn't get the diamond ring she wanted ops: )

Most essential: Griffin i-Trip (iPod travel adapter)

              Wishlist:
Spare set of wheels/tyres: I haven't been properly off-road for years and am certainly no expert, but I don't think I fancy risking the stock alloys & road tyres anywhere rougher than a soggy car park.

UHF/CB radio (I heard of someone putting a unit in the sunglass holder above the rear-view mirror)

Once I get a bit more serious/brave, I guess it will be the full list of camping and off road goodies from snorkel to winch.

I guess I'm very much at the wimp end of the Prado owner spectrum as my justification (excuse) for getting another Prado was the number of seats. My last one ('97 VX) only saw a bit of beach action, but that was more due to lack of time. I only moved to Aus 2 years ago and have been too busy getting established to explore this fantastic place.

No mods yet, and I dont think that will happen until I finish the extension at home.

                            Mud Tyres

Last few vehicles have been Patrols and a Jeep, with a L300 4WD Van thrown in for good measure.

where did you get the recovery hooks from? i've just bought a coromal camper trailer and looking forward to going over to Moreton Is. but don't wish to get stuck on Middle Road.

Hi All, Good to have a 'Prado' specific forum. Have read heaps of valuable info already incl getting my electric windows operating.

We just bought our petrol GXL and are getting used to it. Coming from a Subaru Outback, it's a barge and a step down in creature comforts (couldn't afford a TX or Grande) but will tow our camper (ordered, but not made yet) much easier than the Subi. We swapped over in anticipation of a trip around the countryside next year, giving us time to sort out any bugs and get any required accessories installed.

                                Cheers, Nige
