                    • Hi Guys, Josh here, I've been lurking on the site for months and thought I better say G'day! The site has been a great wealth of knowledge and ideas, it has also proved to be a great time waster, when I should be doing something else (like now!) After much research looking at Hilux's & 120's, in August I settled on a 2009 GXL Prado and haven't looked back. It was a very stock 150 but it now has a dual battery system, ARB winch bar, front recovery points, Rhino platform rack and a toyota towbar, snorkel goes on tomorrow. When I get a chance I will fit the redacr remote brake control unit, simocco UHF, ARB compressor and a seperate power outlet for the GPS. Still need to sort out some seat covers, floor mats, driving lights, tyres and a 50 mm lift. I'm setting it up for touring and some family friendly 4 wding. I loved my old hilux, but I love the Prado more, it's great to drive and a pleasure to accessorise. Thanks for a great forum, so many awesome ideas and builds

                      cheers

                          • hi all, my name is jayden and i live northern suburbs of perth, wa.

only really new to the forum since i ordered my D4D GXL just over a month ago.
what an amazing forum with so much info i'm still finding new stuff every day i look.

im not gonna be a hardcore 4x4 but expect the new prado to take me to remote places up and down the west coast.
that being said, i will get a few extra's - bullbar, lights, chip - the chip is the biggest thing i'm looking fwd to as the diesel is a slug. might get an exhaust too.

the bullbar decision ARB vs TJM is a hard call, which i'm yet to make.

                            well thanks guys

                            cheers

Me and friends tend to head up and around two rocks every now and then through summer for a fish, swim and bit of a play if your ever keen. Enjoy your new beast.
