    • Hi everyone

Greetings from Mongolia. it's minus few degrees outside here and eagerly waiting for rivers to freeze by the weekend. we got a nice snow for the last few days and hope to get more for the coming week. fishing and playing in a petrol prado is what i really liked. i tried to post some pictures and cant seem to work it out. i will resize and upload on my gallery later.

Myself driven diesel prado for last few years and thought it was time to swap for petrol. the styling is timeless and very roomy, 8 seater, so a very good mini school bus and a weekend warrior. little old 1999 ish but it still takes to work everyday.

Model: LC Prado 95 TX Limited
      Year: 1999
      Colour: Silver
Accessories: in-dash gps unit so far.
Wishlist: nice beefy tyres and a good roof rack, good pair of foglights,

hi mate, been on this site daily since i bought my 120 V6, this site has been a very inspiring attachment/must have accessorie..
to make the prado better than factory...

i believe this site and its members discussion has a lot of the issues that toyota dont research, when releasing a new vechile....
only thro use of the vechile... there is everything in this site from a new mate too a wiring diagram..

please enjoy and and all the recent members ,, looking forward to learning of your input , in advance ... thx

my last rig build up post..........

"as i learn about this prado means that i'm learning it"s flaws too....

as far as... one eg. if you drive a rear wheel drive 4x4 , you come too a dead end scrub track..

you can find a gap in the trees/scrub, reverse in , , grab a gear , dump the clutch and and flick the ass around... and off ya go back too the turn off

try doing that in a prado? ... love this rig, cause i get to drive it... and compensate for the flaws ...

nothing is perfect... but this 120 is a keeper.. its only getting better... cheers butane"

        • Hi Butane

Thank you for your warm welcome. i understand that the need for heavy mods can be beneficial if the market is there to fill this niche.
Mongolia officially has one of poorest maintained public access roads in the world. It's not funny and i am not impressed at all by any means. and purchasing power is somewhere near the bottom due to tiny domestic market with 19th largest in landmass, so communication and transportation is perminantly on high demand.
So my approach is to keep everything in stock and in neat condition (that's where your money going in place for exotic ARB) so you have more chance of finding replacement from a small settlement 1000km away from the Capital. could be wrong about it as i actually never had problem with any of my japanese cars i owned since the Communism ended.

          Regards Gantulga

                    - ARB deluxe or Sahara bar (still tossing up)
                    - Sandgrabba mats
                    - some sort of awning and applicable roof racks

                      • Must be Newbeie Day-Also 1st time post

                        Hi All

Been lurking here for a while now but finally feel as thou I can post after finally getting my Prado. Got a Storm Blue GXL Auto Diesel just had a HR towbar fitted. Sourced some 3D mats from ebay from recommendations found here on PP which have been fantastic. Seat covers are next if we, the good wife and I, can come to an agreement/compromise?

From there probably some sort of rack set up, ARB Deluxe bar and then who knows where it'll stop or if it will stop. I guess only money will tell?

Reading all the rig build ups and peoples experiences with different equipment provides for endless nights without sleep, there is certainly a wealth of knowledge here to draw from......I only hope I can throw my 2 cents worth in to the ring.

So if you come across someone in a 'greyish blue' Prado who's stuck and scratchin his head.....please go lightly on him.

                        Scud

Sing out if you are coming this way and we can catch up. Actually I keep thinking I should organize a weekend up this way given that no one organised a Pre Christmas catch up this year, might give it some more thought after the Chrissy break.

                                Cheers Andrew
