  • Hey all thought I may as well introduce myself. I have lurking here for a while gathering knowledge. Now that I have finally bought the wife one I will add a pic.
Its an 03 V6 GXL, stock at present. Its booked in tomorrow for 2" lift, slightly larger Cooper STTs, rust protection and dual batteries. It wont see much offroad as its being set up for touring 8)

And the reason it wont see much offroad is the wife doesnt want it to end up like the Hilux which is the designated offroad rig at the moment, and to be honest its such a nice ride I dont want to spoil it.

                      Model: 2007 SWB VX 4.0V6

                      Mods: None (yet)

Wishlist: Not Much - just need to learn how to disable the traction control for dune bashing, apart from that it goes everywhere it is pointed.

But a supercharger would be fun.....

                            • G'day

Time to stop lurking and say hello

                              Model: GXL D4D Auto
                              Year: 2007
                              Colour: Charcoal
Accessories: Tinted windows, reverse sensors, Lightforce 240s, ARB Sahara Bar (colour coded), roof rack, Waeco 40L fridge, TomTom GPS, Garmin TX6200 UHF.
Wishlist: Lift kit, winch and snorkel.

Had a GU Patrol before the Prado and a MQ Patrol before that. Always wanted a Prado, but the old diesel engine was crap. As soon as I read '410NM', I emailed Mr Toyota my credit card number for the deposit.

                              • Hi all, not new to 4wding although new to Prados. Living on the South Coast and in the process of looking for a 90s at a good price. My father has the 120s and loves it, so time to give the zook to the misses and get my hands on a modded Prado. Theres not too many around though, and the ones ive seen are all too $$ or its the 2.7ltr. Were going to be needing the extra tanks so GXL is what im after. Cargo barrier, snorkel, lift kit, bull bar, towbar, some decent tyres and tinted windows in a 90s is hard to find under $15,000 to $18,000. Anyhow gotta keep looking, Zookcubr.
97 Vitara 1.6 JX Day Tripper(550klms range), 98 Prado V6 LPG GXL for Touring (1400klms range), Offroad Cub Camper for Overnight.
