  • Re: D.I.Y Windscreen wiper jets upgrade

Completed mine on the weekend with the additional cable tie trick as per photos below ...

Cost me $52.25 inc GST from my local Toyota parts department (Part No: 85381-0K010).

As stated by many others, it's one of the best value for money DIY upgrades around.

Thanks to Matt for the original idea!

    Regards,

    Scott

Awesome. New jets in. Took 2 minutes to install 1st one and about 1 minute for the 2nd
Used a small zip tie. Slide length ways under one end and left up, repeat on other end. Pull old jet out slowly with hose still attached. Fit new jet to hose and clip back in. Didn't need to lift the bonnet or brake any clips :!: Simple as that
Thanks for the zip tie idea poeple

Did it today on my new prado, I was a bit of a un-believer in how something so simple as a nozzle could make so much difference. Extremely happy with the outcome of my first mod

Can someone tell me if these are side specific? Or do the connecting parts point the same way on both of them?

I cannot remember but if they were it would say on the pack or on the part L or R...they are fantastic once you put them in. The wife really liked them said it was one of the best things done so far and with little cost and time involved. 8)

Got mine through this morning, both packets have the same part number on, and say RH on them, but they both seem to point to the left :S Are they meant to for RHD?

Noticed today that even my wife's 2004 Camry Sportivo has these 'spray' jets.

I'll be checking to see if they are the same part number as the Hilux ones.

Either way, I'll be putting some on the Grande soon..........

That is without a doubt the best mod I have ever done to Pearlie, closely followed by a Trek table and Fred's arm. What a difference!! I can actually see through the insect and dirt encrusted front window....

Thank you PradoPoint for sooooo many good modification ideas..
You're here for a good time, not a long time... Love my Prado...
