G,day Fellas and Campers !!

well here an Update

pradofreak has walked out the garage gotta breath some fresh air !! all is going well after 4 weeks of having fun removing the old engine and installing the Sparking new 2007 D4D she looking sexier than ever !!! she is now a one off !!! everything wired up and looking good but but but i do have one little problem !! the immobilizer doesn't like the new computer !!!

I,m not sure how to make them both happy !! in other words engine is cranking over and all dash etc working nice but Immobilizes is preventing the engine running does anyone know how the reprogramming goes ? But apart from this hic up she gonna work !!

I will be sending some pictures soon ( yeah i know i have been saying this for a couple weeks now sighted sorry guys just want it running first ) !!

Have you tried swapping the chips over from the keys?

ie chip from d4d key into key from 90series.

G,day Chuck and everyone !!

regarding the starting problem i have the D4D computer inside and the 90 series immobilizer connected , No i have not try using 120 series keys as doesn't fit ignition but 90 series keys should work as its 90 series immobilizer etc its just the computer codes does not match the immobilizer code , Generally speaking there a way to program it as when people get new or replacement computer its then gets reprogram, there a way of doing it without Toyota special attachment computer but not sure yet ! something about disconnecting battery for 30 minutes then leave in ignition mode for 30 minutes with a test , or jump wire between port

I dont actually have the 120 series key which i would have loved to test Chuck theory out !!

if all fails I may have to Knock on toyota door !!
they probably say what the heck are you doing !!lol

I think you should get 120-series immobilizer chip too, means the key from the very same vehicle where the ECU is from.

Then make copy of 120-series key´s immobilizer chip to new key which fit to your lock cylinder. That´s works if you have 120-series master key. If you have not, some lock smiths can do a clone of any other key´s immobilizer chip to new key. Cost 40 € here, which is about 60 AUD$.

I think you can´t get the ECU reprogrammed. :cry: I think there are only two ways: like I just told or change the ECU to the new one from Toyota dealer when you get new keys (master + two copies).

thankyou for the support and I agree with kZJ90 I think thats the way i will go after all spent hours reading wiring diagrams its a clever system ,

will knock on Toyota door for some parts !! oh yes i will also be taking my Credit card !!

finally

Finally a breath of fresh air and a relief finally got the picture posted !!

yes i have kept all the note as well many photos etc it was a great project with lots of time searching for information but at the end of the day purchasing the Toyota cd will be the best thing you can actually do !!

had lots of Fun and learnt more about the 4wd than ever and gotta say mate its a well built 4wd well some amazing features that you never know till you actually peek inside , as well the amazing computer features but at the end of the day she STILL not running due to the immobilizer doesn't like my new friend ( the ecu computer) will be getting a 120 series Immobilizer hopefully by the weekend as its doesn't like the 90 series immobilizer stay tune for the acceleration and fuel as well overall engine report
