  • Spotted a PP in your travels

    OK ... I'm up for a challenge.

Late July '07 we were heading south, from Katherine down to Tennant Creek. On a lonely stretch of road, between Renner Springs and Elliot, we spied a fantastic Prado / Kimberley Karavan combination heading the other way.

After a bit of radio chit chat we pulled over and spent a bit of time yakking to PeteS and Kris who were on their way from NSW, up to Katherine and across to the North of WA.

There's Pete's pristine rig with my rather dusty Trak Shak in the foreground.

Bek and Kris spent their time laughing at their respective fellas ... liftin' bonnets and kickin' tyres.

Andre was checking out the KK.

Here's a shot of the back of Pete's rig ... rear window saver, 3 bars attached to roof rails, extra spare on the roof, awning on the side .... and heaps of good gear inside too

    Cheers

Then there's this bloke. Bumped into Matt (Pradogxlv6) in Port Macquarie.

He was holidaying with his family in Port Mac while we were on a 2 night stay on the way to the Blue Mountains.

So we got to stop in a car park, by the beach, for a quick chat before we headed south.

    Cheers

Don't know whether you want to count this one .... but we were 4000 Km from home when we bumped into these guys.

You did say .. if you come across other members in your travels ... well it was on my travels

Matthew (120gxv6) let us stay at his place in Clarence and arranged for a few local lads to come out for a bit of a drive.

No car pics on this one ... so I'm probably breaking the rules ... but this was the kid's favourite tourist attraction n the Gold Coast

Pedro invited us around for the day and took us out fishing on his boat.

He even spent some time teaching the boys how to clean their catch ..

                            Nat was driving.
that's how the prado rounded us up and stretched it's legs.

looked like husband and wife types in front.
                            maybe people in rear.
they were past us before i knew it.

No photographic evidence, but I saw a pradopoint.com sticker on the back of a silver 120 travelling north along the Pacific Hwy and exited at Tugun QLD. Would've been around 11am today.

I wonder who it was :?:
