            • Finally got around to installing my lift kit yesterday.

I used the no spring compressor method as per Amts suggestions and once the factory stuff was out it was fairly simple.

I fear i may have tightened the top strut nut too much. as I can't get a torque wrench on it in situ.

how do you gauge the tension on the top nut of both the front strut and the rear shock?

Is it just once the bushes are a bit squished and the nylocks have got at least 3 threads through the nut? or is there a more technical way to it?

Until the nut bottoms out on the shoulder, basically when it's tight.

cheers for the reply, in all the diy threads i struggled to find this info..

I'd best get under there and tweak a bit more.

I didn't want to deform the bushes too much by spanner if it was over-doing it.
