Heres an alternate mounting for the ARB compressor
Note switch position on rear bracket mounting, I can turn on the compressor from either inside with std ARB switch or from under the bonnet.

        • Great how to guide mate! Now to have a beer and convince myself that i should permanently install a compressor rather than just battery clipping when required...

          • Thanks so much for this guide! Finally installed my compressor using the AMTS bracket today, and it was smooth sailing. Very happy with the result!

            • To ask a stupid question, why does the CKMA12 require wiring into the ignition and illumination? Are these purely so that the switch lights up and looks pretty at the appropriate times, or does it have a functional effect on the compressor? Can one leave this step out?

Needs to be wired in to ignition to connect to the switch which then drives the relay. Another wire should connect to the dash lights to illuminate the switch.

Hmm, so if I want to run it off an auxiliary battery, I could substitute the ignition wire for the positive of my auxiliary? I take it that it would work either way, but if I do it off the ignition then it will only work with the key in the ignition position, even though the compressor is wired off the auxiliary and bypasses the main electrical system? And if I plug the positive auxiliary into where the diagram says ignition, then it will work without the key in the ignition?
