  • Good service/dealers

Mods - I know this is going to be on a fine line, but how about a thread on good toyota service/dealers?

Due to my three stikes and you're out way of thinking, I am looking to find a new service centre. I have recently had some work done at a toyota dealer and the service was very poor - vital nuts and bolts not tightened up, major oil leak after service, damage to paintwork and rims, stripped bolts, broke/damaged brand new parts, not take any notice of reported issues, drive/look after your vehicle like they stole it (max. readings from SGII), general poor workmanship/attitude and of few other issues....

Instead on bagging bad service/dealers how about praise for good ones?

i.e. I drive 1.5 hrs from Quebec to get my car serviced at Mr Tommy Toyotas of Toyotaville ??

PS - I need a good toyota dealership around Northern NSW/Gold Coast area that does a great job

Sorry about that TP if I am doubling things up, maybe I have search dyslexia ??

I couldn't find one specific thread on the topic, only irregular comment not in line with the topic heading or needing to read through tens of pages to here an appraisal. I thought it might be valuable to have it in one spot ??

I travel around a fair bit and don't usually get the same dealer to do all the services. Unfortunately for me and extremely bad for toyota, I have discovered the QC and mechanical ability of all toyota dealers/service is not equal.

Maybe it is just me where i seem to get all the toyota service centres whose head mechanic is paris hilton

I'll make this thread a sticky for now.

Note: As stated by TP, there are many threads with comments and feedbacks of service dealers but they can be difficult to find due to the numerous duplicated threads we have been getting. Therefore I make this a sticky in this section for ease of access for all members.

And remember. FACTUAL comments. Dont go off on a high horse because a dealer P&^%ed you off.

You are solely responsible for your comments, and any backlash that may arise from them. Be truthful, and read your comments before posting..

Service/Dealer: Phil McCarroll Service Centre at Waitara NSW.
            Last used: November 2008.
Work Done: All diesel services, Fit Accessories, Warranty, Check work from other Dealers.

I started going there in 1992, after some issues with another dealer in Sydney. At the moment, I have a few vehicles serviced here and at other locations throughout Australia and Phil McCarroll Service continue to supply me with the best quality work and attitude.

You need to book in a couple of weeks in advance and they can take a little longer to do some of the work, however they have always done a good job and they have never damaged or broken anything due to inexperience or incompetence (unlike another centre that broke something expensive on a vehicle less than 12 months old and tried to claim it was vehicle wear and that I needed to pay for there mistake).

They have provided prompt warranty and fault finding as they actually investigate issues you describe and provide very descriptive feedback.

My only association with them is a very satisfied customer over many years.

Have had quite a bit of work (major) done on our (previous) Rav4, and now on the Prado with no issues. Prices comparable with genuine Toyota service. Uses Genuine parts unless requested/talked about with you.
Some staff are ex-yota service staff & are much happier now 8) but know their stuff and are very helpful.

                        Also:

Ferntree Gully Toyota: when we were looking for the Prado they put up with some REALLY stupid questions and countless visits when a number of other local Toyota Dealers didn't have the time of day. I wish I could have given them the sale till this day they were Sooo good. I buy all genuine stuff from them now when I need it.
                        Cheers - Phil Taylor

80k Major service done by my local Toyota Dealer (Bill Buckle - Sydney northside) this week.
Knowing it is a big one, I asked what to expect and was told around $750.

Rang me 2 hours before it was due and said it was ready to go and the bill was $630, happy with that, good job too.

Just got off the phone with a dealer who quoted me $650 for a 60k service on a D4D.

Had some warranty work done by Beaudesert Toyota (S.E. QLD) today, replaced Rear Parking Sensor Unit & Passenger Inner Guard.
Although I did not purchase the vehicle from them, they have done all the work to now including the 20k service last week. Great bunch of guy's who deliver old fashioned service. Went out of their way to assist me. Thoroughly recommend them.
