After reading this thread and others associated, I rang my Toyota dealer and enquired about the genuine HD bars. I was told there was nothing listed for 2012 Prado 150 series except 'Aero roof racks @ $286. So, clarifying question to PP. Can I purchase a set of HD 3 bar toyota bars to fit my vehicle from Toyota?? Looking at adding a platform tray in the near future. Thanks, Juddy.

Correction. Was at the spare parts at Peter Kittle today and saw the accessory brochure. There is a 3-bar HD set for the 150 labelled as for the GX only. Looks like the following but without the tray. Price was around $350.

Hope someone might help out there?
I have a pair of genuine racks on my GRJ120 without roof rails, with the part number PZQ30-60080.
This is a pair of racks in the front and middle locations.
If I buy a secondhand pair of PZQ30-60080 will one of the pair fit and have the correct height for the rear location giving me the PZQ30-60090 set?
I asked the local dealer and they are only interested in selling me a full set of three...

Not sure if that part no. relates to the Heavy duty or Aero type rack.
The three mounting positions of the Heavy Duty type racks have different mounting footings to give a level plain over the roof.
While possibly more expensive a Rhino Rack supplier could help you out with components, as they supplied Toyota with the rack and Toyota put their decals on them.

Can I ask the brains trust?
I have rang Toyota and I can get the option of the 3 aero bars ($280) or 3 hd bar ($313) for my 07 prado gxl. The guy on the phone was very against me putting them in for some reason ? He was going on about voiding warranties and water in the roof etc... Very doom and gloom
Anyway, will the 3 Bar aero work for the pioneer platform or does it need to be the 3hd bar set?
I like the look of the aeros and see them as a good compromise for removing the north south rails...
Thanks in advance
Pat

Either will work for the Pioneer platform. The legs are common. The Vortex RLCP bars have a separate adapter on top of the legs to make it compatible. The only thing is that the Vortex RLCP bars uses a smaller M6 bolt.

The HD bars uses M10 bolts

If you get the Vortex set, then you will need to get the M10 bolts, washers and channel nuts separate.
Whatever you do, do not get the Vortex RSP version from Toyota.

The Vortex RLCP however is ok. Just the smaller bolts is the issue.
