    Re: Dig_Options TP09X1 GPS, Reviews & Information

Guys, these head units are really easy to install especially if you get the correct harness adapters that come with the units. It should not take more than 2 hours to fit everything including reversing camera. I installed my Roadrover which is basically the same style of unit plus two headrest LCD displays and reversing camera in about 2.5 hours.

    Cheers

      Hi All
Last time I had an issue with the IPOD which turned out was a loose cable at the back - it works well - there is no doubt that the amp in the TP09X1 is far better than the original. I have toyed with the DVB-T and it does work, you need a good ariel but I have no sound. If you decide to connect the rear camera and the DVB-T you need a splitter and the rear camera does not opearte with the radio on (Matt and Donna are looking into this). Overall - good value - as for longivity - only time will tell.

            Hi Oldsalt,

I'm pretty sure (will check on Monday, as I am putting in another one) I used input 1 on my unit and it worked fine.
The other trick is to make sure that your camera +12 Volt, the cars reverse and the headunits reverse wire are all joined together.
Check my post about the reverse camera wiring and it shows a picture of where to splice the reverse wire from the lower passenger side kickpanel.
Also if you want the DVD player to work all the time, splice the brake wire to the ground wire at the rear of the unit.
I will post all photos of next weeks install up here soon so everyone can see.

            Cheers, Mat

I think it is either CCD AVIN or CDC AVIN, any idea on which one please.

I have no idea what abbreviations mean?

              EDIT:

I searched the web and "CDC: Car reverse CCD camera input "

CDC = Compact Disc Changer ie this for a DVD stacker input
CCD = Reversing Camera video input.

Installing this unit is a piece of cake.

                  Used this as a guide http://www.lcool.org/technical/120_seri ... amera.html

It's all plug and play, unbelievably easy and I am no expert.

Getting too dark, I will finish it off tomorrow (only got to put it back in)

                    Re: Dig_Options TP09X1 GPS, Reviews & Information

I was hoping Ozi would be able to read map files from the USB port for more storage, but no luck.

Also my IPOD still does not work, but reading music from a thumb drive works via USB.

4gig I am told by Donna, however, it uses a micro SD card.

I have igo8 and ozi with heaps of maps and that takes up much of my 2gig card.

Is there any max size for the usb flash drive?

Snowy, as the ipod cable connects at the rear of the unit, where did you run the cable to enable it to be plugged into the ipod??

I was under the impression IGO8 was loaded on to the units internal memory? is it supplied on a SD card :?:

There is a micro sd card in the unit, I have not looked at it yet as my install is not finished.

I doubt if it's in the memory as then you would not be able to update the program.
