    Re: Dig_Options TP09X1 GPS, Reviews & Information

Just checked the sd card, it's a cracked version of IG08.

As I already have IG08 I will use that along with Ozi.

There is a file on the supplied card named Navi, I copied that onto my own card with IG08 and Ozi.

I should know if it works tomorrow?

PS. The micro card is a bugga to get in at first, then I worked out that it goes in with the metal connections upwards.

Hey guys, Donna from digoptions here. Thank you for all your kinds words. About the iPod problem, these units are compatible with 1st and 2nd generation iPods. If your iPod is newer than this, a way around this that some of my customers have worked out is to purchase a stereo to 2 x RCA cable and connect the stereo jack to their iPod and the RCA's to the RCA inputs at the rear of the unit. Then you can control the iPod direct. Alternatively, you could run your music via the thumb drive or with burn your MP3's etc to a CD.

        Re: Dig_Options TP09X1 GPS, Reviews & Information

        I have finished my install.

All functions excepting the reverse camera are working.

The cable for the reverse camera may have came out when I put the unit back in, I will check when I install a digital TV thingo.

I managed to get my later version of iG08 working along with Ozi.

I use the UK voice of Kate or Simon as I can't stand the yank voices, I added the voices to the TSS log and away she went yacking away telling me when to turn etc.

The only thing I can't work out is, how do you have the radio on with the GPS running? I can't see anything in the manual and all my fiddling resulted in zero. :?:

                Hi
I am a new member & want to install a reversing camera and SatNav on my Prado. Went to Toyota and they quoted $4400 for the satnave upgrade : (

I have a 2009 Prado Vx with climate control. Will the TP09X1 unit fit in the dash without any gaps and without interfering with the other controls. How does it compare to the Eclipse AVN 4400, or 726E which are considerably more expensive. How good is the GPS functionality in terms of reception, speed of use and accuracy. Also does it have a CD/DVD mulitchanger? Is the bluetooth compatable with standard phones such as nokia or LG.

                Thanks for any advice

                  Hi Tim,

I am not shore about the units you mentioned, but the reception, speed and accuracy of the GPS are Great know complaints, the bluetooth compatable with standard phones such as nokia or LG. I have a nokia and my wife has LG both work fine, CD/DVD mulitchanger not shore about that but you can check with Donna and Matt at Dig_options. I belive it is possible. If you measure your unit it should measure 200mm wide buy 100mm high, the Dig_options unit is 200mm wide and 100mm high witch is standard double din size, O and the reversing camera is Great, and it can run ozieploer GPS offroad mapping to.
                  Hope this helps,

                  Cheers

                    Welcome Tim.

Donna and Mat have two sizes for the Prado therefore you will get a factory look fit.

The unit functions as designed and I am very impressed with it.

                    No CD multichanger.

                    No problems with bluetooth.

You are talking about a saving of $3,800.00, that's great value for what you get.

It's a no brainer to me.

I have checked the connections for the reverse camera and they all seem OK, however, it ain't working?

I have the video cable going from the camera to the CCD of the unit.

I have the power and ground going to the reverse light.

Should I have done anything with the wires named "Brake" and "Car"?

Are there any setting I need to tweak? I can't find any?

                          Hi ,
I also installed a Dig_option TP09X1 unit today, everything tested all working, but not the reverse camera.

I connected the AV cable to the CCD AV input in the unit and reverse camera power cable to rear brake light .There is no power problem as I tested the power output through a multimeter.

Is there anything else that I have not connected properly for the reverse camera to work ?

also, what is the 'CAR-BACK BACKSIGHT POWER' brown colour wire for ?

                          Please help
                          Thanks
                          Dan

                            Guys,

When wiring up the reversing camera you will have a wire that needs to go to the actual reverse light wire from the head unit. This tells the unit that you have selected reverse and it will switch the video input over to the Camera video. Just powering the camera from the reverse light will not activate the head unit to switch over to the CCD video input. Not sure if I have made sense for you with what I have just written but you can wire the head unit sense wire to the reversing switch or the reversing light wire. Hope that helps.

Thanks Mav for the quick reply.
Your reply made perfect sense. Just want to clarify a few things ...
Can you tell me the colour (if you remember) of the wire that connects from the head unit to the reverse light.
The instruction manual of the unit I bought from Dig Options has one brown wire named "CAR-BACK BACKSIGHT" The definition given for this wire in the instruction manual is as follows :
"When the car is reversed, the television will automatically change to the state of car-back. After the car-back, the LCD will return to the early state."
I presume that this is the wire you are talking about . But I would like to confirm prior to connecting..really don't want to blow the unit off
Thanks again for your help and time.

                              Cheers

Yes Dan that would be the wire to connect to the reverse light wire or reverse switch.
