This is on a bit more of a serious note It goes to show just how bad the drinking culture is up here. We have been up here for the past 12 months and have enjoyed it immensely, in our time up here my wife and I have only been breath tested 2 times by RBT stations where as when we were in Melbourne they were everywhere and it wasn't unheard of to get tested 2 times in a day. I'm sure it isn't the police forces fault as they do a fantastic job up here, maybe lack of funding and resources. Also the lack of confronting TAC adds to curb the drink driving culture dosn't really get the message across to those people who knowingly go out and drink drive from what I only assume they know their chances of being caught are slim 2 stuff all.
Once again in Melbourne they would set up booze busses out side any major event but in saying that people are still doing it. Don't get me wrong I enjoy a sip every now and again but my wife and I always have a plan of attack so we don't have to drive we have to much to loose and we have lost so much already from an idiot drink driver who went thru a stop sign in country Victoria and plowed into a car at 80k's and took from us my wife's sister who was 16 at the time and her friend (18) and left 2 others in intensive care for a period of time and have a whole lifetime of bad memories to deal with. Then they were let down by the justice system but that is another story. Anyway I have made my point now and sure this dosen't only happen here but it just shits me that people keep on doing it, and these people in the article were a bit more than a little bit over :evil: :evil: :evil:

Only in Darwin, when i was there, parked the Prado with boat, when I came back some one was fiddling with the boat trying to remove some fishing gear. Arter I SORTED him out, realised the trailer safetey chain and plug were undone, fixed it and left. Some one is walking around with eyes in the back of the head now.

Huge Croc in Litchfield swimming hole
The 4.5m beast was the largest saltie caught from Territory waters this year.
It was pulled out of a permanent trap about 2km downstream from Cascade Falls in Litchfield yesterday.
The new swimming hole was only opened to the public for the first time last December.
The park is currently closed for swimming.
