    Cheers Jase
Up until fitting the Rhino/Toyota heavy duty roof racks, We would have loved the Prado sports rails on ours as I think they look Sh#t hot!
The Rhino racks however are very adaptable and will serve us well.

That's looking good. Gotta get me one of those awnings as well. What's the length of it? (along the car). Is it the 2.5 metre one?

      Cheers.

        Re: Foxclan's 2003 GXL V6

        Thanks mkh
The 2.5m ARB awning has been great so far, quite easy to set up and take down, a one man job if its not windy.
The Foxwing mounting brackets make life simple to attach the awning to the Rhino H/D bars as well.
I have the required max overhang of 700mm on the front bar and this leaves the other end well inside of the rear of the Prado.
Thought that it might have been annoying out the front, but cannot really see the end of the awning so all is good.
If shopping for one at ARB, haggle- haggle- haggle, Mate they are pretty good on price.
        Cheers Troy

          Re: Foxclan's 2003 GXL V6 (Raised Breathers)

Now some further pictures of recent projects.

Raised breathers, I did not take pictures of the hose runs or diff fittings etc. as this has been covered very well in the diff breather posts.

Made this angle bracket to mount the Rear diff breather behind the tail light within the left rear D pillar.
The hose runs down the pillar and out through the trailer cable grommet.

Breather for rear diff with tail light removed:

          Front diff:

          Transmission and Transfer Case:

I sourced the components of this mod from various suppliers around Wingfield & Killburn in Adelaide.
I Would tone it down a bit by using black hose to blend in with OEM tubing if i was to do it again.

          Thanks for your interest
          Troy.

FYI. the lines are Parker air/chemical hose in 8mm ID. front diff and 6mm ID. rear diff and transmission.
This was about a third of the cost of fuel line hose.
The transfer case was vacuum hose 1/8" ID. Clarke rubber carry this sold by the meter.

Re: Foxclan's 2003 GXL V6 (Custom Fridge Slide)

Ive been researching fridge slides for some time now, with the help of Pradopoint and other forums not to mention in store visits.
My conclusion was that if I was to mount a slide to the existing bolts or anchor points, I would have to start planing for a custom slide.
Started with a pair of 700mm. Hettich 90kg draw slide from Hallidays Hardware in Regency Park. These extend 738mm eg. 1438mm.
A mate who manages a large metal work firm folded up the tray, very strong.
                Internal dimensions are 700 x 400 x 40 mm to suit MF45 Engel 40 ltr.

Once I had the tray back with the guides fitted I could start the mounting frame.

Picking up on the cargo tie down bolts and the third row seat anchors.

This picture also shows the locking receiver tab over the Trim moulding.

Fitted up for a dry run.

                Prior to electroplating.

Re: Foxclan's 2003 GXL V6 (Custom Fridge Slide Continued)

It all came together last week just in time for Easter.
                  Fridge slide silver zinc electroplated,
                  Engel hold down brackets,
M8 Stainless steel, jaw -jaw rigging screws,
                  Lane mini sliding door lock,
M6 Stainless dome heads to replace cargo loop bolts.

                  Locked in with lid up.

Note space behind seat and extended mounting fame?
                  Stay posted for future developments.
Fridge fully out With rear door table up.

Rear door table down, fridge lid up, rolled out to table.

From the top no beer in sight.

Also added two chrome cargo loops from the Camry wagon to the inside bolts of mounting frame.
I still have about 620mm wide of the cargo floor area along side of the mounting frame.

Very neatly done. I like how the fridge slides out and meets the table.

Re: Foxclan's 2003 GXL V6 (Rhino Luggage Tray)

Easter Bunny came early this year!
Picked up a Rhino 1810 Alloy tray from ARB.

Also ordered the Rhino alloy tray light bracket, mounted it on the rear with a Narva work light.

Fitted the Rhino spare wheel bracket to the tray as well.

                                Re: Foxclan's 2003 GXL V6 (Mozzie Screen)

ARB awning. Mozzie screen attached for the first time.

Easily erected, once the awning is up. Mozzie screen just slides into alloy extrusion with a rope edge on the back (vehicle side) the front rope edging zips off to allow fitment then zips back onto screen.

Velcro tabs connect it onto the awning spreader bars, and poles a few pegs to the floor and thumbs up.
