I had 265/70 fitted to my 120 when I bought it new, un-modified. I ran the stock suspension for about a month or two without any rubbing or fouling issues.

Well I got my STZ's today. No mods needed, even fits on the back of the door ok (tight but fits).

Recently bought stock NZ 2007 which had fairly worn out Hankook RT03's 265/70/17, no obvious signs these ever rubbed. Just put Achilles Desert Hawk XMT's 265/70/17 on and again no rubbing, though haven't had it off-road yet. Did put it up ramp and check full lock, its tight, barely able to get fingertips between tyre and front liner, but not touching. Could see MT with even deeper tread may touch.
No issue at rear.
The car's got the spare mounted underneath, 265/65/17. Haven't even tried putting larger trye there.Comment
