You can fit 17s with the correct offset. Plenty are running FJ wheels at P15 which is still legal.
Guessing you mean diameter as opposed to widthMy 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Thanks to all the comments in the thread and a whole bunch if other research I changed the 18" wheels of my 2014 VX with KDSS for 17" as follows:
17" wheels from a 2015 FJ Cruiser picked up through gumtree but had a mind bending time trying to get them transported from Glass House Mountains to Canberra. All the regular freight companies wanted stupid amounts to transport them. Finally did the old "it's who you know not what you know" and a friend of a friend came to the rescue (for $500).
17" with +15 offset was perfect and I fitted the maximun (legal) boots - 275 x 70 x 17 Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx LTs (5 off). Note that the spare does NOT fit under the factory wheel cover.
Added to this a CalOffroad 2" lift using medium Fox adjustable front coil-overs with adjustable upper control arms, Medium duty rear spings with Fox shocks, Airbagman in-coil bags to assist with extra weight of camper trailer complete with in-cab pressure adjustment :-)

The on-board fuel consumption calculations show an approx fuel usage increase of about 5% but due to the tyre circumference being 5% longer I'm actually traveling 5% more that the computer thinks. So end story is no discernible difference in fuel consumption.
Note that the speedo now read 100km\h when doing 100km\h when just about all oem speedos read 4-5 km\h less. i.e 100km\h when you are actually travelling at 95km\h. This can be verified by using s GPS that shows the correct speed as it continuously calculates distance over time and is generally more accurate.

Hi everyone, I have a 2012 150 VX with 2" lift and was looking at going down the 17" option.... after reading this and other threads I was concerned to hear the gxl rims could not be used and would faul. So I tried anyway and did not have any fauling on the kdss or other components spoken about.
Can anyone eleborate as to what is touching? I have been full lock both directions and still have clearance around components. Went for drive and did not notice anything either.
The only item I have a concern with is the upper control arm if wheels are upgraded to 265/70 (which I was intending on doing)?
Am I missing something?
