Just checked mine and it's only on one tyre and the splits seem fairly superficial.Last edited by KAKADAZ; 14-06-2012, 11:59 PM.2010 Kakadu with all the usual stuff.... Build up thread below

yeah the guy at Total Traction Tyres was going to call around and see what he could find with a +15 offset
didn’t take any pics, we just swapped out the front right tyre and i swang the wheel full lock left and right with lots of clearance.
I wouldn’t mind finding some 8 or 9 inch rims if I’m going after market.Last edited by BobTheMonkey; 15-06-2012, 07:35 PM.2012 - 150 VX

Been looking on and off now for some rims, from what I can tell I should be able to fit 17x9 with a 0 offset. As long as that fits under the guards. That will give me +25mm on each side.
Anyone know of some basic 17x9-0's? Or even anything between that and 17x7.5+15s

These come in 17x8+0s
http://www.tech9tyres.com.au/wheels/detail/classic-ll
17 x 9+0 6x139.7 - $345.00
difference:
17x7.5+25
17x9+0
Inner Clearance: 6mm MORE (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)
Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 44mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel)Last edited by BobTheMonkey; 18-06-2012, 07:38 PM.2012 - 150 VX

Bob, moving out 25mm is a big change, I have 7mm on wheel and 5mm on the tyre and are fairly close to the outside of the guard, also u need to check the regulations in your state re wheel track Increase, just some food for thought.Rob

Yeah, from all I read is you can move 50mm total? But I'm unsure how that is calculated.
The VX comes with 18x7.5E25, 17x7.5E25 (GXL rims) rub on the swaybar which I had fitted by the dealer.
17x7.5E15 (FJ rims) fit nicely but they are $1150 a wheel, and Toyota isn't keen to fork out that kinda money even tho they made the mistake.
From what I understand the wheel can't stick out past the guard, I'm going to still put the same rubber which is 265/65r17 which is rated upto 9.5in rim.
From what I understand is the offset can't be more the 25mm each side which is why 0 would be the max. However does the width of the rim also come into play.2012 - 150 VX

I am pretty sure it is measured from the centre of the rim, I would be more worried about them sticking out!! But anyhow just giving some ideas to you.Rob
