My Prado is less than two weeks old. No bull bar or snorkel yet. I notice a slight whistle at around 80kph. I have tried changing revs so it is not from the engine. It is very faint. I will check with the dealer when it go's in for 1000km service.

Is it a diesel, as it could be turbo whistle.
It can also come from the exhaust, if there is just the slightest bit of mig wire protruding into the exhaust, it will whistle.Last edited by croozza; 17-05-2011, 03:07 PM.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

Mine does this as well. It is wind noise on mine as when you put your foot on the clutch it doesn't change. My problem it changes at what speed it makes a noise. I have been hunting for about 2 years now and can't find it.
When we first put the snorkle on we had an issue of there was a gap between the head and grill which did whistle badly. Mastic between the two sorted that out.
