I have ordered the roadsafe recovery points. One thing that is not clear to me. What is the purpose of the nut-o-wire?
Can someone explain please.
Regards
It is so you can get the nut down into the Chansis rail without losing it. You hold onto the nut by the wire as you can't fit your hand in. Unless your fingers are 8 inches long, you will need to use the nuts on wire.
Hi all,
I bought a set from fleabay which as previous posts they all seem to be the same. I have come to look at the alignment today and on a 2016 kaka with no bar i get to use 2 of the 3 holes (the documentation has fitting instructions for no bar and says use 3), no biggie, the problem comes with the alignment appears to be a couple of mm out between the lower hole (with the fixed captive nut) and the further most rear hole OR I angle the recovery point up a bit to utilise a different hole which appears to have some plate welded into the chassis on the drivers side effectively making it so it cant be used. Besides getting a bar, is there a way around this , or is the solution to get a different recovery point ?
Thanks for your write up TheFloyd. Finally bit the bullet and fitted up my roadsafe rp's which I thought did not fit with the alloy bar on 2018 GX, but all made sense when I did them!! Thanks again for sharing
