It only covers 'lubricated parts'. At my last service, I was advised that the rear shocks are leaking and need replacing, I told them to go ahead as its covered by my extended warranty. Thats when I was told the above. Was I happy? Nope, not really..
I have a Toyota extra care factory extended warranty and the warranty does not have any such exclusions, the warranty states "we will repair or replace free of charge any Toyota component found to be defective in material or workmanship under normal operation and use in Australia with the exception of any item listed under "What your warranty does not cover" shockers are not excluded?

I recently had the engine mounts changed under the warranty and wouldn't class these as "lubricated"

Regarding the corrosion to the wheels, this has been raised somewhere else if you care to search, I checked the extended warranty and it states that corrosion caused by scratches or chips is not covered, I would therefore assume that other corrosion would be.

    Cheers

Agree Toyota extra care covers pretty much the same as the factory warranty. I have had the water pump and injectors replaced under extra care so the $1800 it cost me was worthwhile. There were some 'dealer' warranties being offered for lots less that don't cover much at all. Some limit the total spend per claim and then cap the total spend in a year. Some exclude parts as you have found. I have no complaints with extra care.

Yes it is a known problem, whether the dealer does something will depend on if you have extra care or dealer warranty.

I had my initial enquiry knocked back yesterday for the corrosion on the rims. I have read my PDS and on page 14 it states under what you are not covered for
"Wheels, tyres, paintwork, panel and bodywork and their components (including moulds, weather
strips and seals), cosmetic finishes, components made of glass and associated parts, all decorative
or trim covered components (including, cup holders, ashtrays and interior compartments);"

          In addition on page 15
Your policy does not cover parts that fail because:
          of corrosion, electrolysis or rust.

So has anyone had these rims replaced under extended factory warranty.

Has anyone experienced the paint bubbling on their alloys. My unused spare which has been under the hard wheel cover for 3.5 years of 4 years of ownership from new is the worst with one of the rims on the car showing it as well. Is it a warrantable item (I have Toyota extended warranty). The photos were taken from my phone so could be better but you should get the idea.

I have exact same issue on my 120 (2007). what did you or anyone else do?

Do you have the paint color reference for those alloy wheels?

I'd like to sand and paint. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

Full strip and repaint metallic black. It is fiddly if you want to keep the machined finish.
