Anybody know of some good quality side steps or rock sliders available for the 150 GX. Preferably I would like to get hold of some in black powder coated steel but I'm not totally opposed to alloy if they were substantial enough. I am in WA. I have searched around the net and found very little information. I'm surprised the after market manufacturers are not all over this one given the amount of GX 150 mining vehicles running around.

I believe that ARB now have airbag approved side steps/sliders.

Do you have any more info on ARB side steps? I haven't been able to find anything at all on the internet. My local ARB doesn't know anything either.[b]Doug[/b]

There are issues with the airbags which is causing the delay in releasing them(from what I have been told). I have seen a couple of 150's with IronMan bullbars that had side steps/sliders. Give them a callStephen Bloomer
I did have - 2010 GXL D4D Auto, ARB bullbar, rails, sliders, winch, 40mm lift, Brown Davis bash plates and long range tankComment

I have decided on these from Queensland. http://www.oaq.com.au/store/index.ph..._detail&p=1212 They are the only ones I could find. They have sent a couple of pictures and they look pretty good. They haven't arrived yet - $150 freight to WA and takes over a week. Being in Qld they might suit you.[b]Doug[/b]

Have received a reply from OAQ regarding steps & brush bars. Have sent them another couple of questions based around The Roo's comments.
I will wait for their reply before I put any further info up.
A mate recently had some sliders fitted onto his Poo Troll that he got for around the $800 mark, (freight ????) from South Australia? (not certain on that) on . I will find out who he got them from & will then inquire wether they have any for Prado 150,s.
I will certainly put any info I get up for all to share.

Here is the response from OAQ in Toowoomba Qld.
"Our sidesteps are designed to fit our Bullbars, we do however make a
universal clamp, but we can not guarantee that they fit."
"The Steps are mounted to the Chassis of the Car. There are 2 mounting points
on either side of the car for the steps.
In regards to holding the weight of the vehicle, there is no weight placed
on the sidesteps."
The place where my mate got his sliders from only makes them for Poo trolls.Comment

Two Mounting points wasn't exactly what I was after, so I'll keep looking. I have left a message with another mob, who make very good looking sliders, out of 2 inch steel tube that is 3.2 mm thick & they say can be used as jacking points if needed. Asking whether they make them for Prado's and if they do brush bars as well.

They did call back & no they haven't made any sliders for the 150 yet, 120 yes they do make them now.
They have a special for June 2011 of $100 off each set of sliders.
He will make them for the 150, but he will require a 150 for most of 1 day to measure & design the sliders, if any one in the South east of Queensland, Marochydore Sunshine Coast to be exact, is interested in getting a set & can loan their 150 for a day. It would be most appreciated & I would be very grateful. I am most keen to have good reliable protection for the sills of my 150.
I told him that I was a member of pradopoint.com & he said if he can get a 150 to measure & he gets mine & another 4 orders as well, he will give a group discount. Once this is done he will then look at a more permanent arrangement. He doesn't want to be overwhelmed by orders at first.
Anyone who maybe able to assist me in getting a set can they please PM me & I will give you the name & mobile number of the guy who makes them.
I also spoke to him about the brush bars & while he doesn't make them, he will make the sliders & send them to me raw. He suggests going to an exhaust place & get them to make up a set & attach them to the sliders & then get the lot sand blasted, powder coated & then fitted to the Prado.
