Booking to have the Beaudesert Exhaust upgrade for my 150 V6 installed in 2-3 weeks time professionally by a 4WD place in Perth. Will update once its installed.

Is the upgrade available there in Perth, or is it being shipped over from Qld?

I am still looking in Sydney. Spoke to an exhaust specialist in Sydney, and he told me he could manufacture a system however, he said he tried some earlier model Prados, and there was a droning noise in the muffler. Suspected it would happen again in a 150 petrol, although has not tried it yet.

Let us know if the noise is different after the install.

Beaudesert Exhaust has an agent in Perth. I believe they ship the exhaust direct from the factory in QLD and is directly affilated with them.

The company is Armadale 4WD Service Center (www.armadale4wd.com.au). I am in no way affilated to them.

Will update more after the install (might be a few weeks before I will update as I'm off on business and will only be back to book in the install in mid-end Nov).

It pays to find a good exhaust shop, I put a system and headers on my 90 series and had the drone, told the shop and they gladly swapped two different mufflers to get rid of the drone, no charge.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the installation will only be done on the 6th of Dec. Will post before and after dyno readings and pics when done with installation. Will update soon..

Further delays due to the Dyno being down at Armadale 4WD. However, this unforseen delays have allowed me to save more $$ to live it up a little. Will be booking in again after the new year for both the Beaudesert Extractors with Exhaust and UniChip (custom tuned) installed at the same time. Would expect a good few increase in power with this combination. Will post dyno readings when done. Watch this space.

^^pradodude any response? Damn, don't you hate a thread that misses the punchline.
I'm pretty keen on the beaudesert system after having another Perth installer have 3 goes at a full system and it's still way worse than factory. They did a custom system without flexible joints on my v6 and now they are there but in the wrong spot so it's got cracks in every join and in both headers. It's hard when I now live 2500kms north of Perth

Have a look also at Taipan XP and Bullet cars. Ive contacted all of them and it seems straightforward to fit up an exhaust in the drive way, I just cant spare the cash yet, goodluck.

I learnt to leave the factory exhaust alone on a petrol engine (had issues before but not on the Prado). Now if I had a diesel I would go a bigger system due to it being proven results. But petrol, I havnt heard of a good outcome yet, droning, cracks, and no real power gain, probably just seems like it due to the exhaust noise. I havnt seen any dyno before or after results either for a petrol Prado engine ??. The problem can also become more of a pain in the arse when your out in the middle of nowhere and you have an issue. At least with a standard system you know what's required with a factory part number. I was going to put one on the old diesel 95 series till I saw some pics on here of the dump pipe cracking which was made by the manufacturer that's been mentioned on here, I rang them to check out the situation even sending them a pic of the pipe and took them 2 weeks to contact me. Was the last time I bothered..... Cheers Steve
