Hi Brains after reading all the threads I'm still not clear on what happens with the Park Indicator, does it end up upside down? Also have you managed to source the switch for the reverse camera, I haven't been able to find one that fits properly like in the photo.

      Krypto,

The park indicator (hazard and reverse sensor panel) ends up either upside down or upright inserted at the wrong angle. I am trying to source a left hand drive one at the moment. I have decided not to do the switch for the reverse camera when driving as if I need to i will install a second camera and connect to the TV input for this purpose and use the head unit to switch. I had enough cutting and soldering to do without trying to install the switch. I still haven't found one that fits perfectly. The Narva one needs some modification and the other nearest fit would be the ABR Sidewinder but also needs some cutting/glueing for installation. Go to www.sidewinder.com.au and look up switches/two way switch. That is the switch that Derek used in his install. I was only referring to that modification thread for the picture of the wiring loom showing the reverse positive.

          Nice one Paul.

Thanks for talking to Asad also. I kept trying last week but work was a bit hectic and I never ended up calling him.

just a question to those who have installed these aftermarket systems on the gxl, do you lose the trip computer function or is it also displayed in the dash

The trip computer information is displayed in the dash. It was just duplicated on the woeful 3.5" screen.

Unfortunately the wife pulled rank in the end and didn't want me ripping the dash apart on "her" new car. I still like the idea of change the display out, but have to make do with the iPad on trips or now.
