Guys,

I all of this Recce runs, and flowers etc, not once did I see a mention of the following:
1) have abeer
2) maybe a glass of wine, or 3
3) let the missus wash the car after the recce (or Matt if he is home from fishing)
4) have another beer

Maybe I need to confirm I will be able to asist with the organisation of the event

Well I think it looks official, SA will be the destination for the national GTG next year unless any other state wants to make a last ditch effort run the event.

I think 6 or 7 have expressed an inteest in helping so that will be great. I have to take our daughter to the big smoke on the 4th of next month (Friday) for doctors appointments, on the Friday evening or the Saturday might be a good time to catch up and have chat about things. It would also be an opportunity for those of us yet to meet each other to put a face to a name.

I spoke to Matty re a social GTG at his house if he is back in the country (and I can do his scrub bars at the same time), not sure if you will be in oz or still on the fishing boat Matt? If not Matts place who else would be happy to have a meeting at their house?

As a fouding member of M.A.T.E.S, it doesn not require Matty to be at home to have a get-to-gether there. Actually if you could complete his scrub bars before his retrun, that would free up some time for other R&M. Matty is not home til 11th Nov, Matty correct me if I am wrong

Right. Well let's get the first thing straight: Matty doesn't have to be home for us to use M.A.T.E.S garage. We haven't waited for him in the past, and we aren't about to start waiting. Plus, most of the fun is had consuming Loz's awesome platters. Matt is just a tool monkey and he has been training MLC to take on this role in his absence.

Also, I would offer to have the meeting at my place - but I won't have ceilings or walls at that time. And I wouldn't exactly call it a safe working environment....

On and end note, I'm happy to officially join a committee. I told my wife and she said the slogan should be: "Come to SA so Ian can get you lost...."

The regular trip attendees may confirm or deny this to be true. I have always specified that I prefer to take the scenic route, even if it means back-tracking....

I had a key cut to Matt's house and just need to get a new battery for the garage remote. (note to self, let Matty know about the key and remote).

PPers have an official land rights claim to Matt's garage anyway. At a recent tvisit to fix his lawn we uncovered sacred relics of what is believed to be the first Prado to ever be made as well as ancient cave drawings from founding PP members. Please refer to the picture. You will need to look hard to read it but scientists have computer enhanced the drawings which appear to say M.A.T.E.S. being the name of a PPer garage.

Just wondering if Lea should do a "save the wildlife" demo similar to AJ's bush battery. She casn demonstarate how to resusitate a 4 week dead Kangaroo. Putting it out there for consideration.....

I started reading this post but unfortunately after a long lunch with a couple of reds under my belt I lost interest pretty quick.

Yes Rob post #30 is what broke me so I skipped the rest... If the need is still there Im more than willing to offer my time to assist in the planning (well pre-trip trips anyway!) of a SA get together.

Looks forward to developments guys

I couldn't imagine a GTG in SA and not including at least part of the Flinders!

Look forward to meeting you, BTW what happened for this year? It wasn't until I was at the GTG I realized you were no longer coming.
