Getting to the GTG from SEQ

Looking at the interest so far and chatting with some of SEQ folks yesterday we are already at around 10 vehicles, bring it on

This could be classed as an invading force. I have written to Joolia's office on a "be alert, but not alarmed" basis.

Dear Joolia, as we know, you asked us to report suspicious activity, well I am. I have read on the internet that a radical group from SEQLD. I think that stands for Special El Quada Land Division and they will be making an insurgent move into our convict free borders of South Australia.

We plan to conteract there large numbers with our own elite Prado troops, but theirs are an experienced force having vast experience at GTG or "Got-To-Gettem" manouvres, while our advantage is that of fresh troops. I understand that they will be honing their manouvres on the way down!

While we believe our equipment is of comparable quality and advancement, it is anyone's guess as to who will be left standing.

Yes MLC,... our strike force will be strong.
Our mission will be codenamed “Operation LUPUS”
(Locked Up Prado’s Unite South).

Our journey southward will see us rest during daylight hours and move through the night until dawn, lighting our way using 100watt HID and LED light Bar technology.
Our equipment will also be the latest in modern 4wding. Upon approaching the border our strike pattern will be to send in our allies first, the Southern New South Welshman, followed by the SEQ150 brigade.

Communication and attack strategy will be directed on UHF using voice inversion scramblers on narrowband 80 channel radios, with strike orders only being given using SELCALL.

Prepare yourselves for anything as we'll be taking no 90's or 120's for prisoners,..........it will be one dirty battle.

Well my wife has gone and got a new job which means that our trip to the Cape is now postponed until 2013 so therefore I may have to attend the SA GTG instead.

Sounds like a good plan, would be good to catch up again. Not sure we can offer as much water as the cape but hopefully a lot of fun none the less.

Sweet, 3 days to get there and 3 days home. The Specially Articulated Greater Terrain Group (SAGTG) can use the intel. As you know we will be "lockered" and loaded and waiting come Oct 2012

Hmmmm. I've got goosebumps already. With Stewy's prowess at giving our battle plan away to the enemy, we will have to strike another way. What about Blitzkrieg.....hmmmm.

I for one hope to be there next year to travel down to SA with our yet to be purchased caravan. But that will depend on the wife's employer allowing her to take a little leave and will also depend on a future trip to Europe that we are only just starting to plan. But my plan will be to take the caravan to the GTG with the family and spend 2 weeks away from home on a fantastic journey to and from the GTG.

But my plan will be to take the caravan to the GTG with the family and spend 2 weeks away from home on a fantastic journey to and from the GTG.

Sounds like a great plan Gordo, however seeing that GTG is beginning to sound like militarized event atm, the caravan you speak of could be interpreted as an APC (Amoured Personal Carrier).LOL

July would be lovely, as this is the Type of things that Mexicans & others from points further west, dream of doing in the middle of winter.
