Paul...I note that as you said the rear transfer case protection doesn't offer protection to the transfer black box, so in all likelihood I'll replace this with your plate.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers Michael
No worries, get my number of Daniel if you want or just PM me when you're ready. I've got about 5 left at this stage from the first run if you're keen.
Thankyou.
I want to get recovery points for my Altitude with ARB Bar & was unsure if they were compatible.
I presume you do not have to drill holes to fit them???
Where do you buy Outback Ideas stuff?
Hi Disco4
I got ARB to supply and fit the Outback Ideas recovery points. I notice that the side panels under the bar slot nicely in the gap in them...looks like it was all designed that way.
Not sure about the holes bit as they were fitted by ARB.
ARB don't yet have their own recovery points as you would have seen in other threads, but will probably do so as their other development work for the patrols and bt50/ranger work progresses.

Is it just the angle of the Pic or is the ARB Protection plate not mounted flush with the Bullbar stone guard. From this angle it looks like an unusual fitup with the gap considering they're both ARB products fitted up at the same time?

Hi Craig
To be honest I assumed it was supposed to be like that especially so as not to rattle. There is a gap you could fit a finger down.
Whilst camping on the weekend went for a bit of a drive and had a play on a few little hills. On one I obviously bottomed out somewhere and when I got home noticed that I had a rattle. Turns out I pushed the rear underbody protection plate bracket up gently against the exhaust pipe. Makes my petrol sound like a diesel at times
Spoke with ARB this morning about this and they want to have a look. I'm going to ask them about the design as I was not doing anything crazy yet able to do this the first time I took it bush. You can see in the picture the goldie coloured bracket; that is what looks to have slightly deformed (not the plate...it looks tough) upwards.
I'm still happy with what I have bought but figure there may be an opportunity here for ARB to improve the design perhaps.
I've got photos of the "touching" on the camera at home and will upload later tonight.
Hi Michael, the bar completely changes the look of your Kakadu for the better. We have to do another trip when Hutch (Softy) gets his new ride.
Haha, that is the funniest thing I have read today, when we last went out where was your 150 parked...lol.

Well after talking with the great guys at ARB, they asked me to drop the vehicle in to them tonight so they could look at tomorrow. They tell me that the under vehicle protection is very new and there may be opportunities to enhance the design. The boys at Coopers Plains have only fitted a couple of these to 150s.
I was upfront about how the minor damage occurred and what would happen if I was on a bigger trip somewhere. They were really good and said they'd sort it out.
Photo below shows how the exhaust is now touching the rear of the 3rd plate making it sound like a D4D

So it sounds better now!!! You'd be hoping they don't change the sound!!
