Thanks for the info Iantz. Will print it out and have a read tonight.

Just what I like about PP. People who are willing to share information and help others gain more out of their trips.

Whilst in Burra you can go to the information centre and get a key and a map that will get you too and into many of the interesting historical sights around Burra. Its a very worthwhile trip around with some great stuff too see, and although many years since we did it I think its still pretty cheap as well.

      Cheers Andrew

The price of the tour has gone a bit. We've done it twice now. Make sure you follow the opening times of the 3 historical building tours as the same attendant hops from one to the other in sequence. Then do the rest in between.

Here's a shot in the Monster Mine area

Aso drop into the Apple cider place to quench your thirst and stock up for the GTG.

All the Tassie crew met in the drive way of our place today and had a working bee on the camper. First time it had been opened since Febuary. Opened it up and started packing things in.

Spent time going over the Prado doing those few last minute items, like finish putting the bolts in the battery hold down bracket.

We supplied lunch for everyone and it was well recieved and appreciated. I think we are all going to get along well as we make our way to the GTG.

Spent some time tonight redoing our route as we were not to happy with the cost of staying in Gawler. Now going to go from Adelaide through to Burra with a detour into Freeling to check out the McLeods Daughters film sites.

Time is counting down and the whole Tassie crew are looking forward to heading down to Devonport and getting on the big ship.

Sounds like the Tassie crew have got it together for packing and planning. I hope you have a contingency plan in case part way along someone has a hissy fit and the crew doesn't get along any more. Roof rack maybe?

                  Orroroo- Short run to GTG

                  Loxton- More GTG fun
Red Bluff- Even more GTG fun
Beachport (couple of nights)- So much GTG fun
1/2 way back to Melbourne- realisation holidays are drawing to a close
                  Boat- Home
