You're all talking about these killerwasps thingies...
I doubt I'll feel the difference between the petrol 90's 132 killerwasps and the 120's modern diesels 127 killerwasps.
I doubt my 90 has many of her original killerwasps left anyway

I'm sure 202 killerwasps would be nice but Mr Newton will be more use towing I think.
      Cheers, Leon

I don't think I have ever seen a new car come close to the recommended ADR rating. Mine averages 14.6 with mostly stop start driving I know for a fact the more accelerating you do really knocks the economy in the V6 (stating the obvious I guess). Do not use 91ron mine felt very underpowered and pinged in sand. 95 and 98 felt the same with less k's (marginally) from the 98ron.
I came from a 550hp VE Clubsport wich averaged 25L per 100ks so I'm happy with the V6 economy.

Agree I miss the sound of a V8 but I don't miss the fuel consumption. Funny on paper the Petrol powered Prado would keep pace with a lot of the older V8 technology?

Just completed a 750 km drive from Sydney to Orange and back and averaged 12.5 for the entire trip.

I found that on the M2 highway cruising at 100 I was averaging 9 L/100 (very surprised), heading up the hills along Bells line of road up to Lithgow brought the average up to 11.8. Did around 70km of light off road driving whilst up there and returned with the 12.5L/100 averages. Over all very happy with the results.

However must say that driving around the hilly sections of Sydney’s Northern beaches is not kind to fuel economy. All the hills combined with stop and go traffic bring it up to the mid 16’s.

Stock standard mines getting 13.8 around town, same as the 6L ute I've got so I'm used to it. Best advantage is filling up once a month and saving $30 a tank with fuel vouchers each time

I just bought a 2012 Petrol kakadu. Recently you all seen the petrol test on the news? E10 being most economical. Ron95 made very little difference. Only Ron 98 was second place after diesel. anyway, i am still in the 300km and so far while running in eco mode and only doing city driving without even reaching 100km/hr, i think i am sitting around 15-18l/100km. i am not disappointed, the vehicle is so smooth and powerful. Great fun to driver. Fill up 80 Litres today (half way on the dial) 470km from full.. do the maths.

Bloody petrol (RON91) went up 20c in the space of an hour here in Melbourne on Wednesday. I bypassed a cheaper station and by the time I got to the regular one near home his price had gone up the the $1.45 mark and that was the "discounted" 8c/L off price. Finally relented today and chucked 20L in, hope the price goes back down early next week.

I haven't worked out my consumption figures but my "average" according to the computer is around 18l/100km and that's city driving.

Interseting, I put E10 in the other day for the first time and the consumption went from 14lt/100 to 16.5/100 in half a tank. It was scary to watch the distance to empty drop so fast, I am now going to continue to use 91 at worst and 95 when available.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.
