snaga. i really like what you bought , i wouldn't swap that 4x4 tuff bar, i'd use it for what it was intended for , front hit's /scrubs and your trips away...
if those tube ties across the standard head lights, give you greif in the "glare dept. . black the back out with gaffa tape ,, and see how it goes
if still bad, get a grinder and cut em out.. i didnt know that it wasn.t a arb bar... till i looked hard... over a few nights ...
looks great to me , spend ya do on something else . least when i see that bar on on white prado i"ll think its yours, watching with interest, cheers butaneLast edited by butane8; 17-01-2013, 11:34 PM. ..lets take her out for a spin... butane

I know I want to... it'll come, the tear locker that is
The main problem with the bar is its weight. I was investigating some suspension issues last week and after a few phone calls found out the Powerful Bar is 90kg!! I suppose I could play with the suspension but I don't like a couple of other things about the bar either.
The top tube over the headlights is the one that glares back but I've taped that up after a week or so of owning it.
The other reason I'd like to swap it for a T13 bar is because then the winch controller would fit out of sight as it should be.
Other niggling things as well.
Thanks for the sticker offer...
I have kept a spare since putting one on the 90 series back in 2007 or so... From the original print run
Should be a pic of that in the thread somewhere.Cheers, Leon

Well, I visited the 4x4 show looking for a good price on a new UHF unit... but, the show specials were still dearer than buying from Prestige Communications so I've now ordered a GME TX3540 with aerial (an AE4018K1) delivered for cheaper than the show specials on the TX3345.
I wonder if I can get it installed before the day run this weekendCheers, Leon

Hi ya D4D, sorry for the delayed reply...
Happy enough with the bar but I wouldn't spend my own money on it. It was on the car when I bought it and does the job but not gracefully
It's quite heavy, about 20kgs heavier than the main players bullbars. Also, the black section of the under guards actually hinders approach angle a wee bit. Nothing that's got in the way yet but the right rock ledge might bend a few bits if not careful.
Powerful 4x4's customer service is woeful!! I would almost say non existent but they actually knew something last time I phoned them.
As a bull bar I guess it does what it needs to. My issues are probably more to do with the useless car salesmans workshop people who fitted it.
I am going to get rid of it soon... swap it out for a TJM bar but that is mainly because of where I have had to mount the winch control box... I don't like it up with the spotties and being a TJM winch the control box will fit out of the way inside the bar on a TJM winch bar.
