    Hi Matt,

I just read through the "Need help with new throttle controller for 150 series " thread including your response, that pretty well answers all my questions. Is now on my wish list , I just need to find the cash , will be wanting it before my trip away in August.

    Cheers, Stuey

Don't leave it too late to order one before your trip, Stu. I've made two phone calls, sent two emails, a PM and still haven't been sent an invoice or had a reply. Maybe Glenn is away or busy, but it's now been a fortnight since I originally emailed him. I hope he gets back to me before I find something else to spend my two hungie fiddy on...

          Dock.....

On our trip we have come across the exact same issue as u described. What setting did u have your WB on? I 1st noticed it on the cold morning and it was set on "ECON" mode. I turned it to "OFF {no}" but the following morning, the same thing happened again. Going to try it set on P2 and see how we go. If it happens again, I'll be disconnecting to see if it continues to happen.....At this point of our trip.... NOT HAPPY JAN !!!

I have also noticed that if the cruise does not switch on the auto trans will not go into 5th and holds the lower gears. I figure somehow the ECU is getting an incorrect signal from the accelerator / wind booster and changing lots of other parameters. Poor ECU must be confused. No error codes appearing and no CEL.

Solution - stop, turn off engine, restart and things back to normal. Bit of a bother though.

Anyone else had this issue? May have to contact Glenn for a replacement.

          Cheers

It looks like the Wind Booster works fine for P1 and P2 settings..... will try "no" and "econ" modes again and try and narrow it done.... weather hasn't been too cold so I don't know if its temp related

Tried again setting the WB to ECON mode and it played up again, so it looks like setting P1 and above work fine, but any setting below P1 causes problems.... still don't know if its temp related

Fitted my WB today, I'll have to see how it goes with cruise control but I must admit I've only tried P1 and P2 so far

I had no issues with cruise control or auto transmission in any mode. Econ 10 is the least sensitive to throttle input and still caused no problems.

Good to know.... might be Temp related then at the lower settings

My cruise works on all settings. Might be worth returning the unit for a warranty exchange ?

I may have to.... It hadn't played up b4 this trip and that's why I thought it might be temp related.... I tried it on TOP P! setting when it was really cold at Glen Helen and it played up. This morning I tried it on TOP P2 setting and it was OK.... will continue to monitor until we get home in a weeks time....

Just wondering if there maybe someone out there that lives in the COLD climate area and that has the Wind Booster Device installed on their car?

If there is, I be curious to know if u set your Wind Booster to "ECON" setting & then left your car out in the cold night air, then in the morning go out to start your car and press the cruise Control button to see if the Cruise Control Light comes up on your Dash.... I'm trying to determine whether this issue is temp related or not.....

Is there anyone that owns a WB & that could possibly do this little experiment ???

                          cheers....
