Guys, a couple of months ago I had aan ARB colour coded bulbar fitted. It looked nice but up close some of the welds were l perhaps not as good as they could be from a purely visual point of view, nothing structural mind you but more like perhaps a first year apprentice was using it for practice if you know what I mean. There was also more slag than I would like to see. Thinking i was being particularly fussy, I didn't worry about it but in the back of my mind it was bugging me, given that it is a premium product etc. About three weeks ago I dropped ARB a line via their website, just to let them know that perhaps the standards were slipping a bit. Well within a couple of hours I had an invitation to drop by head office in qld for them to take a look at it. Once they looked at it, the state mangager whilst suggesting that from a funcion point of view it was fine, did agree the finnish was not as good as it could be, and offered to replace it free of charge, just as soon as they could source and paint one. The new bar was fitted yesterday. The old bar was servicable, it was only because of my picky nature that it was brought up, I'm sure 99.9% of people would have let it go.
For ARB to replace it without argument, indeeed at their suggestion displays the kind of customer service rarely seen today. It is so pleasing to see an Aussie company so willing to stand behind their product. Credit where credit is due, I could not expect better treatment from a supplier and highly recomend them to any one who will listen.
I just thought it important to pass this on for the benefit of any one consideriing some barwork in the future.
