Gday TeoEdge
The first part number "23670-39316" is the solenoid type injector which covers the 120 series and the part number "23670-39365" is the latest injectors for the 150 series which is a Piezo injector. (Solenoid is activated by a sliding piston type and the Piezo works by many, many thin layers (6 to 700 layers of piezo crystal that expands when an electric current is passed through it.
Yours is a 2007 model so it will be the part number "23670-39316" solenoid type
2007 = 23670-39316 solenoid
2010+ = 23670-39365 piezo
I can not guarantee that the late 2009 model 120 series didn't come out with the piezo injectors but i reckon the roo can answer this this one
Cheers

ToyoDIY sows 316s as the last injector fitted.My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

So, reading a post from Roo in another thread.. this concerns me -
"120 Injectors : 23670-39316. The injectors in the 120 models have been redesigned four times across the range. This part number is the last of them. This is the number you should try and install in your vehicles if you can. Just remember though, it's VIN number generated to what you can install in your model."
How do I know if I can install them?2007 120 GXL D4D 6sp Man

I don't believe that Toyota or Denso supply anything other than the "DLC" injector which is the 316s. Certainly mine had a different model injector and subject to diagnosis today will have 316s fitted. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Can I just say that this web site and associated forums, are by far and away, the best, and most informative source of information on Prado's that I have come across. The major posters are a fantastic group of people, and I just want to say keep up the great work, there are many of us out there that really appreciate it. I only wish that Toyota was so forthcoming and helpful.

Hi Guys
Mmmmm? Now we have a conflict of interest because this is what i came up with! ... Lol
diesel rattle in D4D Prado
http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...l=1#post391750
I think we can say that "ToeEdge" rig as euro4 injector like all Aussie Prado D4D's in Australia but i am up for correction!
Euro4 spec are easily identified by the EGR heat-exchange being water/coolant cooled.

Hi all,
Just to muddy the waters a bit more, I have been corresponding with Baileys about their reconditioned injectors. I have a late 2006 Prado, and by VIN it should take the 23670-39185 injector. If I am understanding things correctly, Baileys supply only the 23670-39316 equivalent (as 095000-7780), but say that the ECU needs to be reflashed to drive the later injector which then is satisfactory.
Can anyone cast any further light on this for me? If I can fit the DLC type injectors, this would seem very much worthwhile.
Thanks for any info,
Russell

Hi Russel, I to have same as you, and am trying to find out whether the baileys 095000-7780 will suit. My concern is whether our ecu will respond to a reflash or not. The roo is looking into this. Look at page 167 on the thread 'diesel rattle". I am staying tuned for more info on this great forum. Cheers DaveLast edited by davelozt; 15-04-2013, 06:40 PM.

Ok gents.
My buddy at work has a 2007 D4D Prado that had the cold knock.
Could I please request a list of parts required to complete this job.
There is alot of info in alot of different posts, and frankly its all a bit much to read thru.
He will be getting the local diesel place to do the job, but would like to ensure the mechanic will be installing the lastest and greatest components.
So, I think many members may benefit if a full list of components required for the job could be put together.
Cheers fellas.
