Nice build mate. I'm new to the forum but have a set-up not unlike yours. No winch as yet, but great OME lift to compensate. Also, my features the sahara bar versus the deluxe bar - in hindsight yours looks like it provides much better protection.

Any feedback re: rhino pioneer? I only just installed mine, so have yet to test with a load on dirt.

2012 GXL Prado 150 D4D with: BFG ATRs, OME coils and nitro shocks (2 1/2 inch lift), ARB colour-coded sahara bar, IPF 900XS, safari snorkel, rhino pioneer platform rack, REDARC dual battery system, headlight and bonnet protectors, side and rear awnings, hi-lift jack mounts, black duck canvas covers and more...

Jerra your build looks like its getting there, so is mine, the bulk of mine was done between August and mid November, lot of dollars quick! I'm very happy with the deluxe bar offers a little extra protection and I'll be probably be adding ARB scrub rails and steps, so it will suit it well. I love the Prado and have done about 13,000 km since mid August, which isn't bad considering I'm 2.5 km from home to work. I'm very happy with the low profile of the pioneer platform and haven't considered taking it off since I bolted it on! I'm considering adding side rails for the next trip, might try and pry the Foxwing off my uncles disco too!

Thanks Josh. Good drills. I used to live down your way (Point Lonsdale / Queenscliff) - lucky man as you've got some great destinations around you. I bought my Prado in Dec, and dropped $$$ straight up to get it within 80% complete... Better that than trying to convince other half a few $$ here and there is warranted! Scrub rails would be a good idea. I just ordered rock sliders from roo systems to replace the standard steps; but they won't be delivered until I get home from OS in a couple of weeks. Managed to put the awning (front and rear) on the pioneer platform before I left though... Simple process, but if you can, grab the extended brackets from rhino / ARB versus the short 'L' type. That way, you can attach the foxwing level with the platform as opposed to sitting high above. Works well.

Today I picked up the Lightforce Genesis spotties I WON, had my suspension ordered for me and have made some enquiries about a custom cargo barrier to bolt on the back of v2 drawers.. Time to go done the shed fit the new electric brake backing plates to the Jayco and hopefully get these lights pumping. I also need to squeeze in an oil change this week.. Running out of time!

What suspension are you going with Josh? I've had new front springs ordered just to counter the weight of the winch and bar.

Thanks Anthony, figured you were looking after Josh's as well. A 4 inch lift would mean I'd need a ladder to get in LOL, already have to have a step for the old girls.

LOL

Anyway, qot the Jayco brakes fixed last night, just didn't get as far as doing anything to the Prado, will see what happens the next few days. If not I think I need to spend a day after Easter, tidying up loose ends, such as lights, breathers and fix the dodgy scotchlock on the ignition feed and give it a good service.

Yeah I always keep an eye on things, but I especially give it a good check over & some work before any big trip.
The bigger the trip the more time & $$$ I will spend on preventative maintenance.
Scotch locks Can be unreliable, but if they are used carefully, and I will tape them individually and as a bunch if that's the option I take. I prefer to solder whatever. Can if its likely permanent.

It will be good to see yours with the lift in.

I'm hoping it will improve the ride and just save a few knocks in my bash plates!
