Finally ordered the suspension lift - got a good price, so going with OME nitrocharger sport range. Happening late next week, so will see how we go (doubtful I will be able to park in the garage after though). Will put some photos up and the measurements when done.

In the mean time, I bought some new T10 LED door lights to replace the existing ones. Decided to go for blue and bling it up a bit, as these lights don't really serve much functional purpose. I like the overall effect though.

Another busy weekend with some dedicated time for the car (used mothers' day preparation as an excuse, but not sure SWMBO was entirely convinced!)

I have been wanting to instal a simple battery monitoring setup for a while, but was a bit unsure about the mounting. After perusing the related thread (http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...tmeter-Install), and acquiring the required hardware from e-bay, I decided to follow Flying.Kiwis idea and put them on the console. Also used the link at http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...-pull-it-apart to assist with pulling the console out, which was very simple in the end. The hardest part was convincing myself that it would be OK to cut holes in the console!

Here is the finished product: 1. all off, 2. Switch on, ignition off (this allows me to simply check the auxiliary battery, which is dedicated to my frindge and camping accessories), and 3. Switch on, ingnition accessory on - now picking up the main cranking battery as well

I wired the switch using a common neagative from both battery sources back to each individual meter, and the individual positive battery feeds direct to the meters, and as luck would have it, it all worked as planned!

Couldn't be happier with the end result!

        SWMBO simply rolled her eyes!

Thanks mjRandom. It is fair to say that I am becoming quite intimately acquainted with the nooks and crannies of the 120, to the point that my wife is starting to get a little jealous!

mate, supplier and link please. They have grown on me. Also some details on how to remove the cover would be very much appreciated.

              regards mlc

G'Day MLC - I actually purchased these T10s from Supercheap auto. They are their own SCA branded ones. Each with 4 LEDs in the top, and come in a twin pack. Bugger to put in though, as they are specific positive, and I think I got 1 out of 4 installed right the first time!

To remove the cover, I just got a small screwdriver and gently prised the front edge (I think?) of the cover off, and under it is the housing that holds the globe. You actually need to pull the cover and the housing off together to seperate the cover - took me a while, but once I worked that out, the other 3 came out easily. The globe housing must be removed from the same side, and has a flat spring catch holding it in...

Let me know if you have any difficulties, and I will repeat the process with a photo or two...

This ebay seller has some good install pics. Granted it is for a 150 but it looks similar. Smithy can you confirm?

Super work Smithy, I'm still waiting for mine - don't think I'll be ordering much more from that seller.
Now that you've done it, I'll be able to pick your brains when I do the install.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours, Palmer!

Actually, I am keen to see what you have done with the cargo net, and I still need to work out how I am going to do a fold down table too, so sounds like a plan!

This is not quite right - the door lights are quite different on the 150, by the looks of things.

You need to release the top clip on the light cover gently with a screwdriver, and then prise the cover and the light housing from the front end of the unit out of the door, releasing the metal clip I have circled in the second photo. Sorry the photos are not very clear, but my camera isn't suited for macro shots. Hope this helps.

Thanks Smithy. Do you reckon these would fit? Haven't seen this shape before. Is the T10 receptacle orientation correct for them?

I wonder if the disc can be swapped around if the polarity isn't correct. Otherwise the light would be shining into the door!

Bloody Hell AMTS! Those things would light up the whole of Devonport!

I reckon they are a bit too big to fit, and yes, the polarity could be a problem. The globes actually push straight in towards the door skin (similar orientation to a headlight bulb), so I got ones with the LEDs facing towards the opposite end, rather than along the sides...
