RECCIE RUN no.2 - For the 2014 high country G.T.G

Ok now the first reccie run was the weekend of the 10th May, it was organised by James (Barajak) & The Wodonga 4x4 club and two non member PP's went along as guests.
Many of the active vic crew could not make it, as it was very close to the Fraser trip & it's Mother's Day that weekend & other various commitments.


We have a 2nd reccie run organised, there are around 5 active vic PPers that have said the weekend of 24&25&26th May will work for them _ most of them were dreaming

Leaving melbourne friday morning,
meeting at Maccas moe by around 8.30-9am or so.
Any PP are welcome we will be camped at Talbotville friday 24th & Saturday 25th night.
We are planning to reccie out some tracks/drives Saturday & Sunday.

IT WILL BE VERY COLD.

We'll be up Friday night at this stage, see if I can get away a bit earlier. Some of us have to work... But nothing like trying to get away on a PP trip with the Vic Crew.

I may not be able to make it this time. I am working in the high country for the next 2 weeks and then ill be in Mt Gambier for 2 weeks so I don't think ill be able to drive back from SA for it sorry. I know my commitment is lacking.

Well ive got my Swag, could'nt get the ARB one, out of stock, so checked around the net, & all the styles simular styles were also sold out, so must be very popular. So in the end got the Dune 4WD Outback XL,
from Anaconda, 1st attempt nbg, no poles supplied, ok now, got it up in the Lounge, it,s a good size.... c how i go, first shot with a Swag.
So whats the Details for next w/e. Do we meet up at Talbotville?? i'll probably be heading down there Friday morning.. anyone one else wanna meet up?

Good to see you got a swag.
Set it up in the backyard & give it a trial run, it might give you an idea of how many blankets you need in the
High country in may - last May was icy cold!!!!!
If you have Friday off, you should come to pineapple flat Thursday night?
Or Friday morning?
We will drive from there to Talbotville on Friday.
Staying at Talbotville Friday & Saturday.
Will update first post a bit soon.

Yeah, every second weekend. I'd be working QBW anyway, but just to throw a spanner in the works we leave on the 12th of June for a 50th in Coober Pedy and won't get back till about mid July after doing the Anne Beadell, maybe Great Central up to Alice and back to vic through the corner country via the plenty?
