I saw one yesterday that was fitted in the gap just above the number plate. They must have cut the alloy fins out. Looked really neat!

Here is a pic of PLAYDOH's old rig

I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago after purchasing a 22" lightbar. I already have 4 lights on the bar in the usual mounting position. Two driving lights and two LED floods. I thought of mounting the lightbar on the top rail of the bullbar, but to make it compliant it needs to be mounted behind the rail, making it impossible to open the bonnet. I also thought of the grill/air slot above the number plate but I think it's a bit too low to get the full benefit of the lightbar.

So ........... after hours of deliberation, I ended up mounting it on the front of my Rhino basket. It works well from that height but I did need to "black tape" the top rail of the bullbar to stop the blinding reflection.

Mines mounted like the one in the above picture but mines a 22'' and the one in the pic looks like an 18''.........I used a cable gland for the power wire to run through the bar behind the light.......I just though it looked neater.

              Hey guys

You may want to check legality of the light bars, talking with our Dept of Transport here in WA they say they don't comply with ADR rules (Australia wide) as they way the ADR is written you can only have 2 or 4 additional lights mounted on the vehicle. He directed me to the info on their website and its there in black & white. Just sayin

Yes the guy I spoke to did mention that QLD did something to their laws but wasn't sure what, probably too many coppers wanted them on the their 4bys so they just found a loop hole. The other suggestion I heard was to put a blanking cover in the middle to turn it into two lights!!!!!
Plenty driving around over here with them on, probably depends on whether Mr.Plod is having good/bad day if he stops you.

I got busted on the weekend by a couple of dirt bike cops in Victoria
                    I have 2 7in spots and a 10in light bar on the bullbar & 2 4in spots & a 22in lightbar on the roof rack
They said lights on the rack have to come off and single lightbar has to go or put another lightbar on to make it 2.
There is some rule that says lights cant be any higher than 1.4 meters from the ground ?
When are these law makers going to catch up with the times.
So now i have to take them all off get roadworthy

there is no reason why you would want 2 lightbars on the bullbar.?
I only used my 10in for around town and the rack lights for offroad.Even showed them that they were not wired up permanently to take away the temptation to use them around town.
I have had these lights on for well over a year and live in Melbourne and heaps of cops have seen them.Been booked for speeding as well while these were on.But no mention of it.
Must of copped an angry cop on the weekend
But no,they hit me with an unroadworthy sticker.

                      Have seen these.

But think that in my part of town my lights would not stay on for very long.

I'm looking to fit a 31" LED light bar on the Sovereign bullbar. 31" because that is the approximate max size between the uprights. It already has 2 holes where the spotties are currently installed and I will be removing these.
Due to the 2 flat spots and existing mounting holes, I'm looking at something with feet under the light bar instead of angle brackets at the end.

I've found something like this which is around the 300W power. Don't think I need to go higher.

                        Anyone done something similar?

                              Neat looking mod there mate.
Are they GME style bar clamps that you have used on the top bar.
If so, can you recall what size they where.
                              Cheers Troy
