  • Fitting ARB bull bar to 150

Apology in advance if this is covered somewhere but I searched and couldn't find it. If it is covered just point me to the right post and delete this.

I just bought a new ARB deluxe bar to fit to my 150. It didn't come with any bolts or instructions (I didn't buy it from ARB). Anyone have the instructions or give me some pointers?

How do you know where to cut the bumper, is there a template? Also should it come with bolts or does it just swap over with the existing bumper mounting bolts?

edit: I found a post that linked to instructions but the link didn't work

It gets cut for sure. I would be asking arb for instructions and a template.

I didn't buy it from ARB, I bought it privately but it is new. When I rang the local ARB store they said they wouldn't fit a bar that wasn't bought from them. Nothing like standing behind your product!

I'm having one fitted by ARB early next week. I can ask them if you like.

Thanks, I've worked out that there is a cutting template but not sure where to get it, not sure about bolts. Will try another ARB store tomorrow. Can't imagine that they would all turn away business.

Still keen to get a copy of the installation instructions if any one has them.

Maybe you'd have more luck with an independent Authorised Stockist rather than an ARB store?

I know its not ARB, but the template would be VERY similar. Perhaps start with that but cut sparingly, cut more if required?

Krypro, I've got a set and what's left of the template, pm your address and I'll post a set out. You'll definitely want new bolts. Did it come with all the rest of the parts?

                    Cheers

Looks like I got a bit ahead of myself, I won't be fitting it. I bought the bar based on info and photos provided by seller, luckily no cash changed hands. When he turned up with the 'brand new' bar it was covered in scratches, rust and had a few dents, none of which were mentioned or in the photos. Really annoyed with the whole thing.

                      Thanks for all the help.

                        Hi Jph

Do you still have the arb set instructions?
